Grant Edwards



Pastor Grant Edwards serves as Senior Pastor of Fellowship Church in Springfield, Ohio. Several years ago, with a desire to impact Fellowship and the community of Springfield for the Kingdom, Grant developed the discipleship process known as First Steps, and his church was transformed. Before long, area churches began asking Grant to help implement First Steps in their churches. From there, and by word of mouth, First Steps has made its way around the globe and into thousands of churches. Grant travels nationally and internationally presenting and implementing First Steps in churches desiring to fulfill both the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. Grant authored Swimming Lessons: How to Keep Christians Afloat in a Sinking World, which draws upon his experience developing a one-on-one culture of discipleship for his church.

Rick Ives



Rick Ives serves as both President of First Steps and Senior Director of National and International Ministries at Fellowship Church. Rick brings a wealth of experience in both administrative and ministerial capacities to First Steps. Over the years, Rick served as a missionary to Russia, Senior Pastor, and as the founder of Russians Reaching Russians, a national church-planting ministry in Saint Petersburg, Russia. As President, Rick travels extensively both nationally and internationally presenting and implementing First Steps Discipleship in churches.

Vice President


Ray Willis is the Vice President of Operations and Marketing for First Steps and began with First Steps after a lengthy career in higher-education where he served as an executive administrator. Ray has served in numerous capacities in several churches in the USA and as a Pastor of Missions in Los Angeles, California. He has invested time in numerous countries developing and training pastors in the areas of leadership development, ministry development, global missions, and discipleship. As Vice President, Ray is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ministry and travels nationally and internationally implementing First Steps in churches.
